From NBC news President Barack Obama never deny his style on fashion. As he stated -- "Here's my attitude. Michelle, she looks fabulous. I'm a little frumpy,"
This way Frumpy Fashion Style of President Obama tells whatever he wore, he doesn’t care as long it’s comfortable. -- "I hate to shop. Those jeans are comfortable. And for those of you who, you know, want your president to, you know, look great in his tight jeans, I'm sorry, I'm not the guy," he shrugged. And he mentioned up until a few years ago, He only had four suits." – oowww.. Unlike with elegant fashion of his wife michelle.
This statement urge after the US fashion police let out howls of horror over the so-called old-fashioned "Dad jeans" that the president wore to throw the first pitch at a Saint Louis baseball match last week.
What makes Fredric Malle fragrances collection the best? – Base upon my research those collections of fragrances are personally made by different fragrance expert. Like Angelique Sous La Pluie it was created by the genius nose Jean Claude Ellena, this is one of the more accessible Malle fragrances, but at the same time is utterly unique and beautiful. Between Angelique Sous la Pluie and Guerlain's Angelique Noire, I'm left to wonder why more perfumers don't use angelica. It has a wonderfully floral-vanilla-green quality. The top notes give no hint that angelica is coming—they are crisp, peppery, and do indeed have a watery quality that lives up to the fragrance's name. The angelica appears several minutes into the drydown, and it twines itself around a cedar bough quite gracefully.
Frederic Malle is available at barneys.com, and the very cheapest size available is the 3 x 10 ml refill pack for $70. “not bad”
lily fragrances - One of fredrick’s creation. Something about lilies is so appealing to me—their lush green floral bounty makes me think of vibrant life. They are strong in profile but also delicate with their sweet, watery fragrance. That is exactly how I think of Frederic Malle's Lys Mediterranee, which to my mind is the best lily fragrance out there. “”And it had better be, for the price.””
The official notes are: ginger lily, water lily, lilium speciasum, orange flower, angelica root, ambrette and musk. This is rare for me, but I can actually detect all of those elements in this fragrance. They are eminently harmonious, and yet somehow distinct. I find this fascinating. Lys Mediterannee lasts several hours on skin, and gets a tad sweeter towards the end but otherwise remains fairly linear. Unfortunately, like all Malle fragrances, one must buy this from Barney's, and for some reason it's more expensive than Angelique Sous la Pluie: $85 for the refill pack.
Cashmeran Fragrances. - One of the things I love about perfume sniffing is that I learn something new all the time. Do you know what cashmeran is? Apparently it's a blend of musk, woods, and resins. It's also the featured ingredient in Frederic Malle's newest release, Dans tes Bras The cashmeran dominates from the get-go, brightened by a touch of bergamot in the opening notes. It smells like a blend of incense and orris root-it's earthy but light at the same time. As the scent evolves, heliotrope gives it a powdery tinge.
En Passant Fragrances - This is an Olivia Giacobetti creation-and if I hadn't known that beforehand, I probably would have guessed after sniffing it. No one does delicate or ethereal like Giacobetti. There are few things more naturally intoxicating than the scent of lilacs in bloom. They are sweet, green, and they speak of a coming summer. For all of that, they are not all that common in perfume composition. I'm not sure why-perhaps it's difficult to get this particular flower right? The top notes of En Passant are all lilac, but they fade heartbreakingly quickly, like the flowers themselves. Next comes an unusually well done aquatic note and refreshing cucumber. Far into the drydown, I detect a faint nuttiness from the wheat note included.
Carnal Flower - has the highest concentration of tuberose of any fragrance currently sold. The opening notes have the same lush, green tone of Lys Mediterannee. That quickly gives way, however, to a vibrant, sweet, humid tuberose note that is heightened considerably by a surprising hint of eucalyptus. Dominique Ropion, the nose behind this fragrance, was an utter genius to pair the wild exuberance of tuberose with eucalyptus's restrained, cold, medicinal quality. As the scent dries down, this duo stays fairly true.
They lend a sophisticated tropical floral air (if there is such a thing). I adore this fragrance. I think I should buy a Frederic Malle altar and worship at it daily.
Because it does have all that tuberose, Carnal Flower is unfortunately even more expensive than its siblings. A 50 ml bottle at Barney's will run you around $195. A single spray lasts the day-this stuff is potent!
Jessica Simpson Fashion Style-- She's a true Texas gal. got my attention with this photo of Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo arriving at the Staples Center for Game 1 of the NBA Finals. First things first - who carries such a large and expensive designer bag to a basketball game? Only a celebrity I suppose. Second, let's point out the fact that Jess is wearing heels to a basketball game. Again, who does this? Same answer as before. Lastly, is Jessica Simpson a dwarf or is her Alexander McQueen Flapper Satchel ginormous? A little bit of both. OK, Jessica is not a dwarf, but she is on the petite side. However, her $2550 designer handbag is huge and probably weighs more than she does. In fact, this dark tan leather version of Alexander McQueen's Flapper satchel measures 19 x 14 x 5. Whoa! That's a whole lot of bag for a woman of Jessica's stature, but, then again, the singer loves big bags.
The satchel features dual top handles with a 9" drop which allows it to easily fit over the shoulder. The 'Flapper's' overall look evokes a woodsy sort of vibe with its leather leaf decorative accents yet manages to stay true to McQueen's rocker edge with the use of stud detailing. The front has two small zippered pockets and a fold-over tab with twist-lock closure. In addition, the zippered top reveals a wood-patterned lining as well as zip and slit pockets to keep small items from getting lost in the abyss-like interior. While this particular version of the 'Flapper' is not my cup of tea, I think it's definitely Jessica's style. My only advice to her would be the following: leave the bag and heels at home when attending a sporting event, but definitely bring along the cute cap and the even cuter boyfriend.
Albertus Swanepoel – The fabulous hat fashion designer. Brought the South African fashion in U.S.A. year 1989 and on run aiming high. His apparel had earned him a Coty Award back home. Once in New York, he easily secured a design position at one of the local houses. During recession, the early nineties found Swanepoel making ends meet as an assistant to glove maker Shaneen Huxham. Found an interesting thing on making gloves but this work was seasonal, so he decided to enroll in a millinery course at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The passion on his heart and creativeness bring him mark in American Fashion history. named the top five questions to Albertus Swanepoel that was truly inspiring.
How did you get started designing hats?
I started in 1992 already, had to do other things/jobs as well up to 5 years ago, when things changed around for me and I could only concentrate on millinery.
If you weren't designing hats, what would you be doing?
I would be a game ranger in Africa, catching poachers.
What about designing hats makes it better than designing clothing?
Hats are small, sculptural objects, and so personally, I like the smaller scale and the concentration of ideas on a smaller format. I think the medium is also maybe more challenging, since there is a restriction on which shapes a man or woman will wear on their head.
To date, what one moment has been the highlight of your career?
My biggest moment was definitely last year November, when I was announced a runner up in the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Competition! It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the industry and a panel of very esteemed judges (Anna Wintour, Reed Krakoff, Julie Gilhart, Diane von Furstenberg, etc.)
Being that you are a hat designer, how often do you wear a hat?
I don’t really wear hats, except in the cold of winter. I don’t feel I have to be Exhibit A of my career!
New york women drawing some fire of her own from several black fashion industry veterans. criticized the fashion clothing of Mrs. Obama for not wearing the work of a black designer on Inauguration Day
"The comment is inappropriate," said Bethann Hardison, a former model who now is an agent representing Tyson Beckford and an advocate for diversity on the runway. "You don't wear a designer because they are just black; you wear them because they are great."
Amnau Eele, co-founder of a little-known group called the Black Artists Association, claimed she received death threats after Women's Wear Daily published comments she made in an e-mail last week. "If you are going to have Isabel Toledo do the inauguration dress, and Jason Wu do the evening gown, why not have Kevan Hall, B Michael, Stephen Burrows or any of the other black designers do something too?" she wrote.
